Freising is an ancient city in the Free State of Bavaria, southern Germany, situated on the Isar River approximately 35 kilometres north of Munich. With a population of around 50,000 inhabitants, it is one of the oldest cities in Bavaria and serves as the administrative seat of the Freising district.
