Hondarribia, known in Spanish as Fuenterrabía, is a historic fortified town in the Basque Country of northern Spain, located in the province of Gipuzkoa at the mouth of the Bidasoa River. Situated directly across the river from the French town of Hendaye, Hondarribia occupies a strategic border position between Spain and France on the Basque coast, just a few kilometers from the Bay of Biscay. The town is widely considered one of the most beautiful and best-preserved in the entire Basque Country.

Hondarribia has a population of around 17,000 people and is part of the greater Txingudi Bay area, which it shares with the Spanish town of Irun and the French town of Hendaye.
