Leshan is a prefecture-level city located in Sichuan Province in southwestern China, situated at the confluence of the Min, Dadu, and Qingyi rivers. With a population of approximately three million people in its broader administrative area, Leshan occupies a strategically important position in the Sichuan Basin and is closely connected to the provincial capital, Chengdu, located roughly 130 kilometers to the north.
